Bidhya Devi Bhandari world’s most powerful women

The president of Nepal, Bidhya Devi Bhandari , 54, is ranked 52 in the World’s Most Powerful Women List by Forbes magazine.
This is the first time any Nepali women had made it to the list.
Although, the President doesn’t have any executive powers, her close ties with the Prime Minister, KP Sharma Oli, is mentioned to be the secret behind her powers in the government.
Angela Merkel has topped the list for the 6th time.

3. Janet Yellen, Chair of the Federal Reserve of the United States
4. Melinda Gates, Co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

6. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund
7. Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook
8. Susan Wojcicki, CEO of YouTube
9. Meg Whitman, CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise
10. Ana Patricia Botín, Executive Chairman of Banco Santander
