24 players Called for closed camp, No Mehboob alam

Kathmandu : The Nepal national team camp for the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC) matches against Netherlands is set to start from Friday. The two member selection committee comprising of Skipper Paras Khadka and Coach Jagat Tamata has named 24 players to the closed camp where 18 players, who were included in the two matches against Namibia in April 16 & 18 have retained their place.
Along with skipper Paras Khadka and his deputy Gyanendra Malla, Sharad Vesawkar, Basanta Regmi, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Rajesh Pulami, Raju Rijal, Sushan Bhari and Sandeep Lamichhane have been retrained from the squad that played against Namibia.Bikram Sob, Dipendra Singh Airee, Prem Tamang and Anil Mandal were the reserves and they will join the camp with fast bowlers Lalit Singh Bhandari, Dipesh Shrestha, Nandan Yadav, Avinash Karn and Avinash Bohora along with all rounders Aarif Sheikh and Sunil Dhamala.
Nepal are playing away to the Dutch in their fourth round games on August 13 and 15. Nepal are currently in the sixth spot with four points after third round matches (six games). While Netherlands lead the standings with 10 points with Hong Kong (nine), Papua New Guinea (eight), Scotland (seven) and Kenya (six) behind them. Namibia and United Arab Emirates are seventh and eighth in the eight-team tournament.
