The first of its kind in the whole world, Aircraft Museum of Nepal, situated at far western region Dhangadi, is another example of innovation at its best.The country´s first aircraft museum has been set up at Hasanpur, Dhangadhi by Capt. Bed Upreti, a Dhangadhi born local who is currently working as a pilot trainer for an airline company in Indonesia. Nepal’s first aircraft museum opened in Dhangadhi on September 17, 2014 aiming to provide visitors a chance to learn about the aviation industry and services. The museum, housed inside an old Fokker-100 aircraft of the now defunct airline Cosmic Air, has on display 200 down-sized prototypes of aircraft ranging from the first plane flown by the Wright Brothers to modern commercial and Fighter aircrafts. The museum also provides visitors an insightful experience on how communication is made between the pilot and air traffic controller inside the cockpit.
