General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party Maoist Revolutionary Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ claims that unity between the parties adhering Maoist ideology is necessary to safeguard the rights of marginalized population.“There are more than half a dozen Maoist parties in the country”, he said and continued, “What this has done is that the constitution has failed to safeguard the rights of the marginalized population. The country has promulgated a new constitution but it also fails to address the concerns of historically marginalized groups of people.”“The new constitution has failed to guarantee the rights of Janajati, Women, Madhesi and other marginalized groups”, he said and continued, “The constitution has not fully guaranteed the rights of women.”“The Maoists and the nationalists must also join their hands”, he opined.
